Driveway gates, walk gates, pool gates and steel fence, built from tube and bar in our shop and set on posts we install. A good gate should close the same way in year ten as it did the day we hung it.

What makes a gate last
The frame has to be stiff. The hinge post has to be heavier than you think. And the posts go deep, because Northwest Arkansas clay moves when it gets wet and dries out. We'd rather overbuild a gate once than come back to fix a dragging one.
Timeline
Four to six weeks from approved drawing is typical for a driveway gate. Most of that is fabrication and powder coat. Post setting happens first so the concrete can cure before we hang it.
Questions we get
Swing gate or slide gate?
Swing gates are simpler and cheaper, but they need flat ground and room to open. If your driveway slopes up from the road or you're short on space, a slide gate is usually the answer.
Can you automate it?
We build gates opener-ready: the right hinges or rollers, a mounting spot for the operator, and the frame stiffness to handle it. We can work with your gate opener installer or recommend one.
Why do gates sag?
Undersized hinge posts, no bracing in the frame, or posts set in a shallow hole. We size the hinge post for the gate's weight and width, brace the frame, and set posts in concrete deep enough for our clay soil.
Do you build pool gates?
Yes. Pool gates have to self-close and self-latch, and the latch release has to be at least 54 inches off the ground unless it's on the pool side. We build them to that.
